12 Week Biblical Holistic Approach to Wellness
Identity
Session 2
This session explores who we are in Christ and what it means to live from that identity. Taking captive of the lies and labels we have been given. Through scripture and reflection, participants will challenge societal labels and personal doubts, establishing their identity based on God’s love and purpose.
Stewardship
Session 4
This session introduces stewardship as a form of worship. We’ll discuss practical ways to honor God through wise choices in areas like nutrition, rest, and exercise, understanding that our bodies and resources are entrusted to us by God.
Nourish
Session 6
Participants will learn about nourishing their bodies with the right foods and the importance of mindful eating. We’ll discuss scripture-based principles of nourishment, focusing on how food fuels our bodies for God’s purpose rather than merely satisfying cravings.
Movement Matters
Session 8
Participants will understand the role of physical activity as a joyful expression of caring for God’s gift of health. This session covers various forms of movement, helping participants find routines that are sustainable and fulfilling.
Processing
Session 10
This session introduces techniques to process emotions constructively. We’ll explore tools like journaling, prayer, and meditation to bring our thoughts and feelings into alignment with biblical truth, enhancing emotional resilience.
Beliefs
Session 3
Participants will explore how beliefs shape their behaviors, both positively and negatively. We’ll identify limiting beliefs, replace them with truths from the Word, and discuss how these new beliefs impact our journey toward wellness.
Redemption
Session 5
Focusing on God’s grace, this session guides participants to release past mistakes or regrets regarding their health and lifestyle. We’ll discuss how God’s redemption empowers us to make positive changes and approach our health with renewed commitment.
Rest & Recovery
Session 7
This session covers the importance of rest, recovery, and the Sabbath, aligning with God’s command for a day of rest. Participants will learn practical strategies for prioritizing rest and the impact it has on their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Embodiment
Session 9
This week emphasizes “embodiment”—fully inhabiting and appreciating our physical form as a gift from God. We’ll practice mindful movement and breathing exercises to strengthen awareness and presence, fostering gratitude and respect for the body.
New Creation
Session 11
Participants will discover the power they hold as new creations, capable of overcoming obstacles in health and life. Through scripture, we’ll discuss the authority believers have over negative patterns and habits, empowering participants to live victoriously.
Wholeness
Session 12
In the final session, we’ll reflect on the journey, celebrating growth and setting intentions for the future. Participants will be encouraged to continue their wellness journey with the support of their community and in the knowledge that their wholeness is rooted in God.
